CBP nabs convicted sex offenders and more MS-13 members at border

Our standoff at the southern border has calmed down a bit since Mexico recently agreed to keep the caravan members on their side while their claims are heard. But that doesn’t mean that there hasn’t been a lot of ongoing border security action. Particularly in Arizona and Texas, illegal aliens seeking to sneak into the country still have Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents hopping. The Border Patrol deals with plenty of people who don’t have any criminal records of note, but mixed in with those crowds are some serious bad folks. In recent weeks, they’ve reported a number of significant arrests, including known gang members and sexual predators. (Daily Mail)

Border Patrol agents have arrested two convicted sex offenders and two MS-13 gang members who were all previously deported.

The arrests occurred in four separate incidents this week near the border in Arizona and Texas, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

On Wednesday, agents arrested a 46-year-old Mexican national, after he illegally entered the U.S. near Lukeville.

During processing, agents discovered he was convicted in 2002 of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor in Mesa, Arizona.

In addition to the pedophile mentioned in that excerpt, on Wednesday the CBP in Eagle Pass, Texas arrested a 26-year-old Honduran who had previously been convicted of sexually fondling a child in New Jersey. But that wasn’t all.

On Tuesday, also at Eagle Pass, another Honduran man was arrested. Records revealed that he was a previously deported MS-13 member. Days earlier at another spot on the Texas border, one of his MS-13 colleagues who is also a convicted sexual predator was taken into custody. All of this took place in the space of fewer than ten days. Each of the men now faces felony charges which carry anywhere from five to twenty years in prison.

Why do we keep bringing these stories up? Because we have people out there marching in the streets in support of the migrant caravans and carrying signs like these.

Also, we have liberal groups bringing lawsuits (which are being approved by the Supreme Court) to prevent any new restrictions or detention for those coming into the country illegally. Does that really sound like a “victory” to you? We unfortunately have Democrats who are so blindly fixated on opposing anything that Donald Trump wants that they’re willing to block measures to protect Americans from precisely the people who show up in news articles such as this one.

Our government continues to devolve into politically motivated madness. This shouldn’t even be a campaign issue with two sides to it. Elected officials have a duty to protect the citizens of this nation, but fighting to allow criminals such as these into the country unchecked isn’t politics. It’s insanity.
