Check in with Sean Spicer on "Pints and Politics"

Our Townhall colleague Katie Pavlich has wrapped up a series of interviews with former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer which should be a lot of fun. Spicer’s experience with the press corps was, shall we say… unique, to put it mildly, so he has plenty of observations to share. He’s also not particularly shy when it comes to airing his opinions as you’ll soon see. The format for this interview is, appropriately enough, a bit on the unique side as Katie and Sean lift a few mugs of the good stuff while chatting in a “Pints and Politics” setting. (I can’t imagine why anyone would want me to comment on an event that features drinking, but I’ll soldier on as best as I can here.)

In addition to the current political landscape, Spicer talks about his new book, coming out today, The Briefing: Politics, the Press and the President. We all saw Spicer’s press briefings while he was in the job and the endless parodies of them on Saturday Night Live, but now you can get a peek into what was going on behind the scenes.

Here’s Katie’s introduction to the experience, followed by the first in her series of four videos.

After submitting his resignation and leaving the West Wing one year ago, Spicer’s talking all about his life, the Trump administration and what he’d do differently in his new book The Briefing: Politics, the Press and the President.

In a four-part interview series, I sat down with Spicer at one of his favorite Irish pubs in Old Town Alexandria to discuss his decades-long road to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

And, as promised, here’s the first segment of the interview, which deals with issues of family and faith. If you enjoy this one, follow the link above to see the rest of them!
