Living in the greatest nation on Earth, we all have something to be thankful for pretty much every day, as well as on Thanksgiving. The staff here at Hot Gas would like to wish each and every one of you a blessed day with family, friends and loved ones, and I hope that you have more blessings than you are able to count.

I myself am thankful for many things. Not least of these is the continued visits with our readers. Whether you are throwing rose petals or rotten tomatoes, you provide the educational and frequently entertaining voice of the group consciousness which makes up this collective we call Hot Air.

I would also like to give thanks for my family, particularly my wife who has supported me in my various enterprises for nearly two decades and tolerates the life of a writer’s wife with stoicism and dignity. I have been blessed with many friends and wonderful colleagues. I get to enjoy a good home in a welcoming community, food in my belly, clothes on my back, and all the other things which many of us take for granted but are far more rare for others who are less fortunate. I thank God for my good fortune and do sincerely hope that the day never comes when I lose sight of exactly how fortunate I have been.

I am grateful for the chance to work with such a fantastic group of colleagues. Ed, AP, Noah, MK, Guy and our other featured and guest writers have taught me a lot and provide a support network which makes life – both professional and personal – much more pleasant.
