Bryan Preston at PJ Media noticed that Marco Rubio was busy on the cable news shows again this week. Appearing on Fox & Friends this morning, he answers the recent common theme (at least common in the White House) that Barack Obama’s policies are not only working, but are actually pretty popular. Such supporters (by which I mean Obama himself) insist that even Obamacare is really giving everyone a warm and fuzzy feeling, providing you don’t work at Fox News. But, Rubio wonders, if that’s true, why won’t any Democrats in competitive races invite him to come to their campaign events? (Video below)

Sen. Rubio said, “None of these candidates are campaigning with him. If his policies were working out so well, they would all want him to come into their states and campaign with them.”

But that’s not happening. “In fact, they either don’t want him to come or when he comes to their state, they all avoid him. Why aren’t they campaigning on these things? Why aren’t they bragging about Obamacare in their ads? Instead they want their campaigns to be about all sorts of other issues. here is the bottom line, this country is not doing as well as it should be doing. This new century, an American century. This is a country right now that should be creating millions of jobs. We shouldn’t have to be forcing companies to stay here in this country and a lot of them are now leaving because of our tax code and so forth…”

There’s plenty more in the full video below and these are the sorts of questions that more people in the media should be asking. There is some sort of disconnect between the illusion being portrayed by liberal cheerleaders with television shows and the gritty, tough to spin facts which your own lying eyes will observe. Look at the campaign trail stops of Mary Landrieu, Kay Hagan, Mark Begich or Mark Pryor. Where is the President? He’s ready and willing to pitch in and help out the team, yet these candidates are skulking around the subject as if Obama were someone they’d only heard about on CNN once or twice. And I don’t think any of them have mentioned Obamacare since last winter except to run screaming away from it when a reporter brings up the subject.
