I suppose it’s possible that some Democrats bought in a bit too heavily to the President’s somewhat premature victory lap over Obamacare enrollment numbers this week. Perhaps they are to be forgiven, considering all of the hype from Democrat protagonists and network news talkers. (But I repeat myself.) Still, when you’re engaged in the political fight of your life, like Senator Mark Pryor of Arkansas is, a bit more caution may be in order.
No matter how many talking points are released from the White House, voters in Arkansas don’t seem to be buying it. This recent poll from Real Clear Politics tells the story, and the numbers are not good.
But credit where credit is due, Pryor doesn’t seem to be wavering. That may be why the NRSC recently awarded the coveted title of Obama’s Rubber Stamp. But a few quotes and some sideline analysis never carry quite the same impact as hearing things directly from the horse’s mouth. So let’s go to the video, where Pryor is asked if, knowing what he knows now, he would still have voted for Obamacare in 2009. From the build-up in this story, you can probably guess the answer. Take it away, Senator.
