A crowd of people — some reportedly members of a far-right group and others wearing red M.A.G.A. hats and holding pro-Donald Trump political signs or American flags — gathered outside the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office Wednesday evening where votes in the 2020 elections are currently being counted.
ABC15’s Nicole Valdes reported that the group gathered around 7:30 p.m. and attempted to get inside the Recorders Office. A couple of people were able to get inside at one point and asked questions about the vote count before being asked to leave.
Aerial video showed law enforcement officers standing in front of the doors to the Maricopa County Recorders Office, and the crowd of people gathered in the parking lot.
