Plaskett took over after Gosar finished his round of questioning and addressed Ross for praising Thomas Jefferson.
“Before I go on to my questioning, but, Mr. Ross, you are aware also that Thomas Jefferson believed that slaves should be counted as three-fifths of a person for population basis. So, I’m not sure if Thomas Jefferson should be the litmus test for what we should be doing for counting census,” Plaskett said to Ross.
