“I was in Washington this morning,” Powers said Thursday on Anderson Cooper‘s evening show. “Nobody is wearing jackets. Second of all, this is a woman who spends a lot of time very carefully picking out what she’s going to wear. She’s very fashionable. This was not an accident. This was intentional.”
The message, Powers contended, was that the first lady simply has no concern for the separation of families and children at the southern border where she visited a Texas detention center earlier that day.
“That she would go down there and do this tells us everything that we need to know,” Powers said. “She’s officially the Marie Antoinette of this administration. It should just say ‘let them eat cake,’ that they literally just don’t care about what’s happening there.”
