“I heard that Glenn wants to meet me. I heard he was in New Jersey,” Christie said in an interview. “Listen,I feel really lucky that I have so many people out there who are saying that my policies are good policies and all of those people have my gratitude. And he, among others, does.”

Beck is a controversial Fox News figure who has professed a deep love and admiration for Christie’s statements and agenda, going so far as to call the governor’s public comments “common sense porn.”

For his part, Christie has repeatedly declined to appear on Beck’s show, worried that the host is unpredictable and sitting with him on camera would not play well in Democratic-leaning New Jersey where even Republicans tend to be more moderate than elsewhere in the country.
