Travel today is as much about finding what hasn’t been discovered as it is about seeing what everyone else already has. In an era of geotags and influencers, there’s something deeply satisfying about stumbling upon a place that still feels like a secret.
Small towns have long offered that kind of magic. Beyond the crowds and bucket lists, they reward curious travelers with a sense of place that’s difficult to manufacture. RVshare, an RV rental platform, published a list of under-the-radar small towns where that feeling comes to life, and history and character go hand in hand. Each town on RVshare’s list had fewer than 11,000 residents, great outdoor access, and interesting history.
“After six years of full-time travel across the country, I’ve learned that some of the most memorable destinations are the towns you almost drive past. These small towns let travelers experience a side of American history and charm that is sure to leave an everlasting impression,” said Fiorella Yriberry, an RVshare brand ambassador and travel expert.
