The Fallout Continues: Eric Swalwell Faces Calls To Resign From Congress

Eric Swalwell’s fall from grace has been swift and brutal. He certainly didn’t help matters with his denial wrapped around an apology to his wife.

His senior campaign and Congressional office staffers are livid, and are working overtime to distance themselves from their boss. 

Meanwhile, there is now an active sexual assault investigation in NYC 

 The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office has opened a sex assault probe into California Rep. Eric Swalwell after explosive reports emerged accusing the congressman of assaulting a former staffer in NYC.

In a statement Saturday, DA Alvin Bragg’s office encouraged victims to come forward.

“We urge survivors and anyone with knowledge of these allegations to contact our Special Victims Division at 212-335-9373,” a DA spokesperson said in a statement to The Post.

Now, more and more details are coming to light. And they aren’t pretty. In fact, they are beyond sleazy. 

Meanwhile, his attorney is blaming backroom “political machinations.”
