CFPB Says It Will Stay Open Despite Government Shutdown

The CFPB told staff Tuesday that it will remain open if the government shuts down, according to an email seen by Reuters.

Unlike most federal agencies, the CFPB’s budget is not set through annual congressional appropriations, meaning its operations are unaffected by a lapse in government funding.
