Brian Heywood from Let’s Go Washington, has announced two new initiatives for which he’s currently gathering signatures. One aims to strengthen communications between schools and parents, while the other seeks to protect girls’ sports across the state of Washington. Unfortunately, some far-left activists are undermining the civic process via harassment, vandalism, and even stealing petitions to suppress voices they disagree with.
Pierce County Sheriff Keith Swank, on The Jason Rantz Show on Seattle Red 770 AM, made it clear: such behavior will not be tolerated in Pierce County.
“We can hold people accountable for doing that, for being bullies and intimidating people,” Swank declared.
Law Enofrcement Takes a Stand Against Intimidation
Destroying petitions is unequivocally illegal; simply being argumentative with a signature gatherer is not, Swank noted. But if it crosses the line into violating the law, he vows to take action.
