The barking dogs of angry politics were out in the alleys crying and howling across the country, all around us, the noise echoing on the walls, and what the Democrats are doing out there is all about ripping at our souls.
One cry is the left insisting Jimmy Kimmel is Free Speech warrior when he is not. And another is that conservative youth organizer Charlie Kirk is responsible for his own murder by the pro-transgender assassin. It’s all refrigerator magnet philosophy, all emotion, all of it cheapening the critically important issues facing America, all about obscuring the nature of the leftist violence over the years.
I couldn’t take it. And I couldn’t sleep—or even nap in my leather chair on Sunday–for all the snarling, screeching noise. And I really didn’t feel like reading after that, so I avoided all news programming on TV and put away the phone, seeking to repair my spirit by watching a few episodes of “The Chosen,” funded by modern Christians about Jesus Christ and the Apostles.
I don’t think I’m alone. Perhaps many of you were seeking refuge this weekend, too, somehow.
