Man Arrested for Preparing to Kill PM Viktor Orbán

The investigating judge of the Szekszárd District Court has ordered the arrest of a man who, according to well-founded suspicion, was preparing to kill the prime minister of Hungary and other people, Feol reports.

The portal cites a statement from the Tolna County Prosecutor’s Office, which found that the 44-year-old Tolna County man posted two videos on a social media platform in which he pledged to commit murder against Viktor Orbán, the prime minister of Hungary, and other individuals.

The investigating authorities seized a tool capable of taking human life at the man’s residence, according to Magyar Nemzet.

The National Investigation Bureau questioned the man as a suspect on reasonable suspicion of the crime of preparation for murder, a crime punishable by one to five years in prison.
