Civil Society Organizations Speak Out on Biden’s Measures Toward Cuba
Organizations participating in the Pasos de Cambio platform, which includes civil society groups opposing the Cuban regime, have spoken out about measures taken by President Joe Biden’s administration toward Cuba. They argue these measures, far from benefiting the Cuban people, “favor the military.”
In a press conference broadcast on the platform’s social media channels, they expressed outrage over the U.S. government’s decision to remove Cuba from the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism.
Representatives of the organizations stated that, disregarding the recommendations of Cuban civil society, Joe Biden made decisions that whitewash the image of a regime that sponsors terrorism and applies state terrorism against its citizens.
