X Departure Board Update: Don Lemon DELAYED

First, he dropped a video declaration of his intent to leave. He's very exercised that the new X terms of service call for any lawsuits involving X to be brought in a local court in Texas (X moved there). This is a standard thing companies do but which the highly-informed Don LeMon thinks is an innovation that Elon Musk just came up with.

He was also upset that X is no longer the place for honest debates, which is the left's way of saying they're upset that it does allow for honest debates. They want rigged debates, where dissenters are either banned outright or forbidden to make their arguments.

Because he didn't get the engagement she was looking for, Don LeMon then posted a formal written Notice of Intent to Leave X.

And at least as of 3 pm ET, Don Lemon’s account is still up, including the pinned tweet flogging his latest book. Ace is correct about the TOS, by the way; other social media platforms have identical clauses specifying the judicial jurisdictions for disputes. It’s almost boilerplate. So are Lemon’s attempts at attention-seeking.

(The headline above is mine. I was going to use it for a full post, but decided not to bother. It’s a riff on the popular response, “This is not an airport, and you don’t need to announce your departures.”)
