The President Issues a Statement. No, the Actual One.

President Obama campaigned for Kamala Harris and reminded us of his contribution to the first coming of President Trump. Obama remains a malicious force in the Democratic Party and in American politics. There is something un-American about his refusal to retreat into the silence of a decent retirement from politics in which he has become “rich beyond the dreams of avarice” after eight destructive years in office.

Now he has issued “our statement” on the election. What you mean “our,” Kemo Sabe?

The headline above is mine, not Scott's. Obama means "our" because he's basically been running this administration through his many proxies within it. No one who has watched Joe Biden since the Easter Bunny shut him down in April 2022 can possibly think Biden's running the executive branch, and no one who watched Kamala Harris fumble a billion-dollar campaign could think she's running it for Biden.

In that sense, Obama's statement about allowing a normal transition this time might be more meaningful than Biden's.
