...➝ The city’s likely next congresswoman, Lateefah Simon, used her nonprofit positions to funnel hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Anti Police-Terror Project (APTP) for defund the police advocacy
➝ The Terror Project’s co-founder is Earl Harper, husband of Oakland city councilwoman Carroll Fife. APTP distributes $800,000 of this funneled money to other organizations also run by harper, along with $55,000 to the personal LLC of the Terror Project's vice president (who is also one of Oakland's cannabis commissioners)
➝ Community Ready Corps, one of Harper’s organizations which received $400,000 from Anti Police Terror Project, was set to receive a $2.1 million state-funded private security grant... until it emerges they don’t even have the licenses to do this work
