It was a chaotic ending to the public comment period during Tuesday night's Loudoun County School Board meeting when Chair Melinda Mansfield ended that portion of the hearing after giving multiple warnings to parents raising concerns about a current student with alleged gang ties and was arrested last year for carrying a gun and making threats to kill a classmate.
7News On Your Side previously reported on the student who now attends Loudoun Valley High School despite being caught carrying a gun in May 2023 and making the threat to kill a Blue Ridge Middle School student.
According to sources with knowledge of the situation, the student is allegedly connected to the MS-13 gang and is in the U.S. illegally.
Before the public speaking portion was cut off, some parents were able to speak out about the situation.
