Joe Biden, or at least his writers, managed to find the right words after Israel took out Hasan Nasrallah, Mr. Hezbollah, last week. The president said Nasrallah’s death “is a measure of justice for his many victims, including Americans, Israelis, and Lebanese civilians.”

By contrast, the Washington Post’s headline in yesterday’s paper edition states, “Nasrallah’s killing staggers Lebanon.”

Really? Maybe it staggers Hezbollah. Let’s hope so.

But Lebanon?
