Last week, the leader of a major drug trafficking operation in Weld County was sentenced to 376 years in prison, Weld County DA said.

67-year-old Jose Arellano-Arredondo was found guilty of over 40 counts of drug-related and money laundering charges in June.

The Weld County Drug Task Force began an undercover investigation in 2019 that learned drugs were being transported from Mexico, to Nevada and Arizona, then to Arellano-Arredondo in Greeley, the DA said.
