Suddenly Nadler Objects to Censorship

In a letter to Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), Nadler asked the Republican lawmaker to support his investigation of alleged limits placed on Vice President Kamala Harris’s X account. “Numerous users have recently reported being blocked from following Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign handle @KamalaHQ,” Nadler wrote.

Nadler was sure to remind Jordan about the Ohio congressman’s unwavering pro-free speech stance. “Given your long track record of fighting against political discrimination on the platform ‘town squares’ of American discourse, I trust that you will join me in requesting additional information from X regarding this apparent censorship of a candidate for President of the United States,” the New York congressman added.

Tellingly, Nadler ignored the fact that he has repeatedly criticized his colleague for said track record and dismissed the issue of Big Tech censorship.

Quelle surprise. Big Brother fascist content control is all fun and games until the tech giants come for your own allies.

In this case, the issue may just be technical. A number of us have gotten weird notifications about accounts being labeled as spam when they aren't, and our Hot Air account got briefly suspended/restricted this past week by apparent mistake. I wonder if Musk isn't having the code reworked to get the deeply embedded content restrictions taken out, and these issues the results of bugs in new code.
