Biden's DoJ Defends Convicted Cuban SPy

A hearing this Friday in a Federal Court in Miami united opposed forces to thwart an attempt to obtain restitution for victims of the immense damage done by admitted and convicted spy for Cuba, Manuel Rocha. Rosa Maria Paya, the daughter of Oswaldo Paya, who was assassinated by the Castro dictatorship in 2012, and her family brought a lawsuit against Rocha, arguing it was U.S. intelligence provided to the Cuban regime by him that led to the murder of her father.

Although the judge in this case had said she believed the victims of Rocha’s traitorous acts were entitled to restitution, she quickly took the side of Rocha and the Biden DOJ and ruled that the only victim of Rocha’s crime was the U.S.

A federal judge called a hearing for Friday morning to decide whether a former American ambassador convicted of being a covert agent for Cuba should be required to pay any victims of his betrayal against the United States in a national security case that rocked both the U.S. intelligence and exile communities.
