A Secret Service agent was robbed at gunpoint in Los Angeles on Saturday night while returning from an assignment in California. That evening, President Joe Biden attended a fundraising gala alongside his wife, Jill, and Barack Obama, though it was not revealed to whose security detail the agent belonged.  

The agent was not injured, and some of their belongings were later found in the area. They fired a shot at the suspect, however the alleged robber's condition is unknown as they fled the scene, and have not yet been apprehended.

According to the Tustin Police Department, the incident took place shortly after 9:30pm at the Tustin Fields I residential community. When officers arrived, they discovered that the victim was a Secret Service agent, and that the thief had made off with his bag.
