Prisoners Defenders raises the number of political prisoners in Cuba to 1,113

The NGO Prisoners Defenders (PD) reported on Thursday that the number of political prisoners in Cuba reached 1,113 after the addition of 19 new prisoners in May this year.

According to the organization’s latest report, only five political prisoners were released last month, “after fully serving the imposed sentence or measure.” Additionally, Lisdani Rodríguez Isaac, from Villa Clara, was released on a one-year parole due to pregnancy complications.
