Today, Hunter Biden’s defense team called his daughter Naomi to the witness stand. Suffice it to say that the cross-examination of her did not help his case. So much so that, after Naomi was questioned by prosecutors, Hunter’s defense team told the judge that they wanted to adjourn for the weekend in order to make some decisions.
Maybe they should hire smarter litigators. Read on for what happened, but basically the defense let Naomi twist in the wind while knowing -- or at least while they should have known -- that prosecutors had text messages that would make her look like a liar. (Prosecutors have to share all their evidence in the discovery phase; otherwise, the court will exclude it.) A well-meaning liar, a loyal-to-her-dad liar, but a liar nonetheless. And what jury will have sympathy for a father whose defense team uses his daughter in that way?
"Some decisions," indeed.
