You're Apparently Not Allowed to be White and Good in the WNBA

Chicago Sky head coach Teresa Witherspoon admits that Chennedy Carter's rough hip-check on Caitlin Clark crossed a line.

With just seconds remaining in the third quarter of Saturday's game between the Sky and the Indiana Fever, Carter drilled a jumper to cut Indiana's lead to 4 points. Then, as the Fever were setting up to in-bound the ball, Carter appeared to call Clark a "bitch" then slammed into her — knocking the No. 1 overall pick to the ground.

Referees initially called Carter for an off-ball common foul, but the WNBA upgraded it to a flagrant 1 the next morning.

While Carter herself has shown no remorse for her actions, Witherspoon condemned the hard foul in a statement released Monday.
