As I mentioned in the earlier headline, SCOTUS has plenty of reasons to insist on ripeness, as they did with Jack Smith. Chief among those reasons will be the hope that the NY Court of Appeals (their version of the state supreme court) will do the right thing and put an end to this clown show first, and let them off the political hook. Of course, the NYCA may be hoping that the appellate division will let them off the hook first, but at least there's (maybe?) more precedent for taking the appeal directly to the NYCA.
