Egypt Agrees to Allow Aid Into Gaza

Egypt has reportedly agreed to "temporarily" allow aid from the Kerem Shalom crossing to enter the Gaza Strip via the Rafah crossing per an agreement between US President Biden and Egyptian leader a-Sisi, according to Roi Kais of Kann 11 News.

Per the report, the Egyptians said the arrangement is meant to only be until the shortages in the Gaza Strip are sufficiently addressed so that the IDF can leave the Rafah crossing and hand it over legally and permanently to representatives of the Palestinian Authority.

Egypt had previously closed the Rafah crossing to aid trucks following the IDF's seizure of the crossing on the Gaza side, leading to mutual accusations regarding responsibility for ensuring aid flows through the crossing to Gazan civilians as it had before the Rafah operation began.
