Via AZ Kelly, who says this is the first trailer he's seen that intentionally drops the F bomb. But that's hardly the worst of what's wrong with this mess. Amazon Prime wants to "reimagine" one of history's most idiotic pawns as a kind of girlboss who fights for the throne. In reality, Lady Jane Grey was a teenager whose family used her to usurp the throne and thwart two other women who had claim to it -- Mary Tudor and then Elizabeth I. She got thrown into an arranged marriage with Guilford Dudley so that the Dudleys and Greys could seize power, and it wasn't a love match but a reluctant and unhappy union that was almost as brief as her pretense at being Queen Regnant. Mary Tudor hoped to spare her and keep her imprisoned after deposing Jane, but the Greys tried to return Jane to the throne by force. 

If filmmakers want to transform Jane Grey into a girlboss in an ahistorical costume comedy drama, that's their choice. But the actual girlboss move would have been to tell her family to pound sand and marry into a family less interested in usurping the throne from the Tudors.
