Hit the Rocky Road: Unilever Dumps Ben & Jerry's

Unilever, which owns over 400 companies, has finally decided to kick Vermont-based Ben & Jerry’s to the curb.

Unilever also owns Cornetto, Magnum, and Kwality Wall’s.

But dropping Ben & Jerry’s relieves Unilever of many troubles caused by the rabid anti-Israel company that enthusiastically joined the BDS movement.

Is this a causal or correlative aspect of the decision? Unilever is also dumping some other ice-cream brands (including British fave Cornetto), so it looks more correlative. On the other hand, B&J has created a considerable amount of damage to itself in the marketplace, thanks to the radical-Left political activism of its founders, so I doubt Unilever regrets cutting ties regardless.
