I'm sorry to anyone who was excited about this, but it looks unbelievably bad. Do the action sequences look promising? Sure, but that's where the optimism starts and ends.
The dialogue is unbelievably bad. Who thought writing the line mentioned above as well as how you can't trust your eyes was a good idea?
The writers are laying it on thick. We get it. Things aren't as they appear. No need to drown us in the themes and vibes. Being subtle is the key to success in a situation like this. Unfortunately, that was apparently forgotten while writing "The Acolyte."
