srael’s intelligence indicated that Hamas operatives and commanders from the northern Gaza Strip recently arrived at the hospital premises to use the buildings as a command center command center to manage the fighting against IDF troops and carry out “terror activity.”

The IDF said in a statement that it had “concrete intelligence” Hamas operatives had regrouped at the hospital and were planning terror activity.

From the Jerusalem Post:

During the IDF and the Shin Bet's reinvasion of Shifa Hospital in northern Gaza on Monday, they killed Hamas's Interior Ministry Operations Chief Faack Mabhough.

Mabhough has been in charge of all of Hamas's internal security forces both during the war and during peacetime.

"Internal security forces" would be the equivalent of the Stasi in Gaza. I'd bet that a large number of Gazans won't be sorry to see him reach room temperature.

The bigger story here is that Hamas has not given up on using hospitals to hide its military/terror operations. They are, however, too dumb to realize that the IDF is still watching them and won't hesitate to recapture them as long as the war continues.
