MSNBC contributor Anand Giridharadas called the decision “another corrupt Supreme Court ruling” while linking to an article offering what he put forth as a course of action to counteract what he called “another round of despair bait.”

Ah yes, the usual extremists are being extreme. Quelle surprise. Others are clinging to the idea that the real split was 5-4, but that was on a situation that hasn't arisen. The decision about the authority of the states to DQ federal candidates was 9-0, and what's more, it couldn't be made clearer from the language in the Constitution and the intent of the 14th Amendment to force states to recognize federal authority. If they're shocked at this, it's because they were blinded enough by hatred to talk themselves into this theory in the first place.
