New: No Closing Statements This Week in Fani Willis DQ Hearing

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ office has confirmed no closing summations will be held this week in her disqualification hearing regarding her historic prosecution of the nation’s 45th president.

Fulton County Superior Court Scott McAfee is currently deciding whether Willis and her special prosecutor, Nathan Wade, should be disqualified from further participating in their indictment of former President Donald Trump.

I don't think this is a surprise. Judge McAfee wanted to wait for an in camera discussion with Terrence Bradley about what he knew and whether it was privileged information when the same court reporter was available. That was supposed to happen some time this week, but it's not clear if it has yet. McAfee hasn't issued a ruling on Bradley's testimony yet, which has to happen first before going to closing arguments.

And there's still the DQ motion based on Willis' public remarks accusing the defendants and their attorneys of being racist. Willis has been surprisingly discreet in public since her testimony last Thursday too, which I am sure is no coincidence.
