Robert F. Kennedy Jr. apologized for a Super Bowl ad that aired Sunday from the super PAC backing his presidential campaign after it sparked backlash from his own family members. ...

Bobby Shriver, the son of the former president’s sister Eunice Kennedy Shriver, said his mother would be “appalled” by Robert Kennedy Jr.’s health care views.

RFK's not wrong about the Super-PAC regulation, but this is just another demonstration of the idiocy of the current campaign finance system. It doesn't keep money out -- it just removes any real responsibility for how it's used. We should eliminate all of these fanciful regulations and limits and remove tax incentives for anything other than direct contributions to a candidate or political party, with immediate reporting requirements over a set threshold -- say, $500 cumulative in any cycle.

That wouldn't change the fact that the rest of the Kennedys find RFK's positions appalling, of course.
