The Retreat from Net Zero Continues

Earlier this week, the European Union abandoned plans to reduce nitrogen, methane, and other emissions, along with schemes to cut pesticide use in half and public demands that Europeans eat less meat.

Now, Keir Starmer, the leader of the opposition British Labour Party, is dropping his party’s 2021 plan to spend £28 million ($35 billion) on making Britain’s national electric grid carbon-free should he win elections this year.

To quote/paraphrase Churchill: (Representative) Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others. The economic unreality of Net Zero policies can only go unnoticed for so long in political systems where policymakers are accountable to the public. That's why the Marxist Climate Change hysterics have tried to impose socialism as a means to achieving Net Zero policies. For that matter, climate-change hysteria is largely a means to imposing Marxism.
