The House just voted to send aid to Israel and they did it requiring a 2/3rds vote and it failed. The vote was 250-180.
Breaking: House Fails to Pass Israel Aid Bill Too
Ed Morrissey
This was voted under a suspension of the rules, which is why it needed a two-thirds vote for passage. If Johnson wants to try again through the Rules Committee, which is the regular-order process that allows passage on a simple majority, he'll have a big problem there too:
The standalone Israel aid bill, which needed 2/3rds, fails. 250-180. 46 Dem yes votes, 14 GOP no votes. Most critically, Reps. Norman, Massie and Roy all voted no, effectively killing Johnson's backup plan of bringing this thru the Rules Committee for a simple majority vote. https://t.co/RWKMuOihdS

So why did Johnson bring this up at all? He's managed to look impotent twice in the same day on two totally separate issues. This is turning into a clown show.
