That’s exactly what’s happened to a polyamorous couple in Richmond, Virginia, who recently welcomed their partner into their home just to make ends meet. Poly mom Jennifer Martin told the New York Post this week that her and husband Daniel had to invite partner Ty into their home due to financial difficulties.

“Daniel and I definitely struggled financially before Ty moved in,” Martin said. “Housing was particularly bad in this area.

“We’re really happy, we get along great, and my kids are thriving with three partners.”
