The ad tells the story of Austin Dennard, who decided to get an abortion upon discovering that her unborn child had a fatal condition known as anencephaly, wherein the baby’s brain and skull do not fully develop. Dennard left Texas for an east coast state without the same pro-life laws as Texas, that protect the lives of women and unborn children.

Biden’s ad falsely asserts that remaining in Texas would have jeopardized her life and put it “at risk.”

But that is completely false. Dennard sough an abortion because her baby was disabled not because her life was at risk — and her own lawsuit against Texas proves that’s the case.
