A Cobb County judge has ordered that the divorce proceedings be unsealed for the special prosecutor that was brought in to head up the case against former President Donald Trump and others accused in the Georgia election interference. …
The judge in the case also said he would not decide if Willis must testify in the case until he hears from Wade.
[That is no bueno for Wade and Willis, where Wade’s alleged affair with Willis apparently played a significant role in the divorce dispute. Some of the bank records substantiating Wade’s spending of money on Willis’ behalf have already been made public, and now the entire file will eventually be made public. Stay tuned. — Ed]
UPDATE: Via CNBC:
A Georgia judge on Monday blocked — for now — a deposition of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis by lawyers in the divorce of special prosecutor Nathan Wade, whom Willis appointed to oversee the criminal election case of former President Donald Trump.
Cobb County Superior Court Judge Henry Thompson said he needed to hear what Nathan Wade said in his deposition before determining if Willis should be deposed in the divorce by Jocelyn Wade’s lawyers.
[That’s a smart and incremental step by the judge. — Ed]
