Belichick is among the seven coaches who have interviewed for the Falcons’ head coaching position, which became vacant after the departure of Arthur Smith following three seasons.
The candidates interviewed by the Falcons include Bill Belichick, Jim Harbaugh (Michigan Wolverines head coach), Mike Macdonald (Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator), Brian Callahan (Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator), Steve Wilks (San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator), Ejiro Evero (Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator), and Anthony Weaver (Ravens assistant head coach/defensive line coach).
[If Atlanta could hire any of the above, Harbaugh would make more sense. He’s younger, has more recent success, and probably better connection to younger players. I’m not convinced Harbaugh wants to leave Michigan to try again in the NFL, though. — Ed]
