According to Politico, Sanders dinged the seemingly overconfident Biden campaign for continuously pushing the much-derided “Bidenomics,” contrasting his campaign’s behavior today with Biden’s successful approach during the 2020 Democratic primaries.

In particular, Sanders went after Biden’s messaging on economics. “They are not going to get ‘Bidenomics,’ she said. “Let it go. How about you just make sure they know what you’re going to do and what you did?… You can give folks all the numbers about GDP and all these other things, but the data doesn’t move people. Sanders could also have mentioned that real wages have declined since Biden took office, falling from $373 a week in the first quarter of 2021 to $365 in the third quarter of 2023.
