According to Politico, Sanders dinged the seemingly overconfident Biden campaign for continuously pushing the much-derided “Bidenomics,” contrasting his campaign’s behavior today with Biden’s successful approach during the 2020 Democratic primaries.
In particular, Sanders went after Biden’s messaging on economics. “They are not going to get ‘Bidenomics,’ she said. “Let it go. How about you just make sure they know what you’re going to do and what you did?… You can give folks all the numbers about GDP and all these other things, but the data doesn’t move people. Stories move people.” …
Sanders could also have mentioned that real wages have declined since Biden took office, falling from $373 a week in the first quarter of 2021 to $365 in the third quarter of 2023.
[Sanders could have also advised the White House to check on the Fed, which is apparently about to loosen the money supply and have inflation kick back up again. — Ed]
