It’s just being reported that Trump himself will deliver part of his defense’s closing argument during his civil fraud trial in New York City.

This is set to happen on Thursday and it’s said that Trump is “determined” to do this.

[This is not a good idea, especially for someone as rhetorically undisciplined as Trump. He’s not an attorney and has demonstrated that several times in public statements that have contradicted his legal defenses in key ways. In this case particularly, Trump might end up corroborating elements of the plaintiff case in ways that could render potential appeals worthless.
