Epstein Files to Get Unsealed on January 2?

The identity of 177 people, including Epstein’s friends, recruiters, victims, and other individuals, will reportedly be revealed in the unsealed documents. The release comes as part of a defamation case brought by Virginia Roberts, who accused Prince Andrew of sexual assault. Roberts sued Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former partner, for defamation in 2016, but while the case was settled, media outlets filed in order to have the documents made public.

Included in the unsealed documents are links to interviews given by some of the individuals. Judges cited the interviews as a reason why the names of certain individuals should not be kept private. Among the few highlighted names are those of housekeepers on Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean where the worst abuse that Epstein perpetrated was carried out.

The court has now given 14 days for any of the Does to object to their documents being made public. Once the 14 days have elapsed, any remaining documents will be released. The vast unsealing is expected to reveal damaging information regarding Epstein’s powerful friends, who he is believed to have recruited into his sex trafficking operation.

[Pass the popcorn … and everyone should be prepared to deal with some embarrassment. In terms of politics, Epstein and Maxwell appear to have been equal opportunity pimps. One suspects that we’ll see more from Democrats because of the cultural and political environment during their active years, but maybe not *too* many more. — Ed]
