[How “incredibly engaged” could they have been when barely more than a third of the union members turned out to vote? Does that seem like a rather low level of participation to anyone else? THR doesn’t give any historical context to member turnout for contract votes, but for a strike that dragged out for almost four months, members didn’t seem terribly enthused about voting for the deal that ended it. Drescher and her leadership team should be worried about that outcome, especially when it becomes clear that there is very little chance that most members will ever gain back what was lost during the strike. — Ed]
