Vice President Kamala Harris raised a few eyebrows when she claimed on Saturday that in order to bring about a peaceful end to the war between Israel and Hamas — a war that began when Hamas terrorists attacked Israeli civilians, killing more than 1,200 — the United States should help to “revitalize the Palestinian Authority.”
Harris made the comments during a recent trip to Dubai – where she met in person with the leaders of the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Jordan and spoke to Qatar’s emir on the phone — and claimed that the Palestinian Authority “must be strengthened to eventually assume security responsibilities in Gaza.”
“The Palestinian Authority must be revitalized, driven by the will of the Palestinian people,” Harris said, saying that would “allow them to benefit from the rule of law and a transparent responsive government.”
