Sen. Ted Cruz took after the website FactCheck.org as they claimed “Cruz Distorts Facts on Biden Support for Israel.” As the latest “fact checker” rushing to defend Joe Biden, writer Eugene Kiely tried to claim Cruz’s support was “thin.” On Twitter, Fact Check “there is little support for his claim.”
In a Fox News interview about the Israel-Hamas war, Sen. Ted Cruz said “literally from within minutes of when this horrific attack began on Oct. 7, the Biden White House has been telling Israel, do not retaliate, cease-fire, stop, do not kill the terrorists.” But the Texas Republican has thin support for his claim.
But as often happens, Cruz was factual, but they didn’t like how the facts sounded. The senator tweeted:
This fact check admits I was right that Biden immediately called on Israel not to retaliate against Hamas, because they have to, because it’s true. But, so they can defend Biden, they quote “experts” anyway saying he’s been 100% supportive of Israel.
Even that is a lie. In reality, the Biden administration immediately called on Israel not to retaliate on Oct 7, deleted the tweet, supported a ceasefire again the next day, then deleted that tweet too.
