[A couple of points. If no one voted for him for those false claims and voters don’t care about them, why did he lie about it in the first place? Why not just tell the truth? Second: The House could vote to make Santos ineligible for the House as part of its expulsion. That might not hold up, but it could. The House has plenary authority in deciding which members to seat. — Ed]
